Employment Edge and Pinnacle Business Services were opened September 2005 and are locally owned by Todd (TJ) Person and Kent and Luanne Alberty. The company is comprised of five full-time employees and one part-time employee with a wide range of business and staffing experience.

  • Owner - owned/operated business, 28 years sales, retail and staffing experience.
  • Owner - 31 years in collections, human resources and staffing business.
  • Clerical - 4 years retail sales, 28 years service/retail industry management.
  • Recruiter - background of 18 years in sales, marketing and staffing.
  • On-site American Sign Language (ASL) qualified personnel. 
  • South Dakota Public Notary services.

T. J. Person - As founder, Vice President and co-owner of Employment Edge, TJ brings 30+ years of collection, human resource and staffing experience. A by-product of Dakota State College and a U.S. Army veteran TJ is certified by the American Staffing Association (ASA) in employment law with a CSP designation. TJ is active in the communtiy and serves as a board member for the Sioux Empire Safety Village. He specializes in employment law, human resource disciplines, collection practices and business policy. Aside from business, he enjoys comedy, spending time with his family, working in his garage, and attending sporting events.

Luanne Alberty - As a co-owner and Vice President of Employment Edge, Luanne, a Sioux Falls native, owned/operated a retail gift shop in Sioux Falls for 20 years and has 20+ years of payroll and bookkeeping experience. She is a member of the American Payroll Association, active church member and serves as the organization's finance officer.

Kent Alberty - A co-owner and President of the corporation, Kent, a life long resident of Sioux Falls, attended South Dakota State University, owned/operated a retail gift shop in Sioux Falls for 20 years and has 15 years of sales experience. Kent is active in community service functions, has held leadership roles in various school and community activities, presently serving as President of the Sioux Falls School Board in his 1st term, has been a member of the Childrens Care Hospital & School Board of Directors since 1990 and is an active member of his church.

Donna Bowden - As our Front Office Manager, Donna's 35 years in retail and 25 years of management is a value asset to our business and a definite benefit to both our clients and applicants. Donna is American Sign Language (ASL) certified, an active member in her church, and has held various offices and served on many committees as well. In their spare time, Donna and her husband enjoy attending their grandchildren's activities and spending time at their lake cabin.


Staffing Services:
              
Permanent Placement - Through "EDGE ELITE" we offer direct or pemanent placement opportunities. These positions seek candidates to be employed directly with the client company.  This is an employer-based fee at no cost to the applicant.

Temp-to-Hire - As a temp-to-hire candidate, an applicant would be an employee of Employment Edge on assignment with one of our contracted companies. Based on job such things as performance, attendance, hours worked the employee would then become eligible to become a full-time employee with the contracted company. 

Temporary Employee - Short-term assignments varying from 1-day to 1-month. These positions fulfill a need for a specified amount of time. Generally these jobs do not lead to long-term employment.
